What is meant by “house clashing with Tai Sui”? How can it be resolved?

Tai Sui is a magnetic wave influenced by Jupiter’s magnetic field in the sky. It travels in a cycle every 12 years, and its position can be identified according to the Twelve Earthly Branches.

For example, 2011 is the Xin Mao Year. The Tai Sui of the Mao Year corresponds to the Mao direction in the Twenty-Four Mountains, so the “Yi Mao Jia” area in the east offended Tai Sui that year. If a person was born in the Year of the Rabbit, they also belong to Tai Sui, making the inauspiciousness even worse. The Tai Sui position can be sat facing but not directly faced; it should be kept quiet and not disturbed. In 2011, the Tai Sui direction was due east, where the Five Yellow Star flew in. Therefore, the east was the direction that people born in the Year of the Rabbit needed to pay the most attention to and resolve in 2011.

Another example: 1948 is the Wu Zi Year. The annual Tai Sui for people born this year is Zi. According to the order of the Twelve Earthly Branches, Zi and Wu are opposite each other. If it is the Wu Year, it is called “the year conflicts with Tai Sui.” Therefore, if a person born this year builds a house facing Zi and sitting on Wu, and it happens to be the Year of the Horse (1990 and 2002), Tai Sui will enter the house and be offended.

Disasters will come one after another. If the annual Two Black Sick Symbol is in the Wu direction, it will further strengthen the inauspicious energy of Tai Sui, manifesting as serious illness, hospitalization, or surgery. Therefore, people born in the Year of the Rat should not have a door facing the Rat direction, and those born in the Year of the Ox should not have a door facing the Ox direction—this can avoid the disaster that occurs once every 12 years.

Resolving Tai Sui is very simple. Traditionally, the Bagua can be used to resolve Tai Sui. The Yin and Yang lines in the Bagua contain the Ten Heavenly Stems and Twelve Earthly Branches. The Bagua can absorb the Earthly Branches and their inauspicious energy, just like a child meeting its mother. Therefore, in traditional Chinese ornaments, the Bagua pattern can resolve Tai Sui. Throughout history, countless porcelain and bronze artifacts have been decorated with the Bagua pattern, and this is the reason.
